WikiRetracted (About)Edit

WikiRetracted (WR) is an independent platform supported by WikiLetters. WikiRetracted is complementary to a number of other platforms supporting science. It allows platforms monitoring retractions to append any information about retracted papers in addition to researchers who wish to contribute to this wiki-ecosystem. This wiki-ecosystem ought to benefit other researchers aiming to read and maybe even use contents from a retracted article also known as retraction.

Following the wiki-ecosystem, here you are not required to provide your personal details, and here your submitted information becomes available online instantaneously so others can have access to all.

Furthermore, WikiRetracted gives you the opportunity to provide a brief discussion about the the key-reasons for a retraction(e.g. a brief summary). Although WL strongly invites you to check RetractionWatch to see if such discussion is not yet available in order to avoid unnecessary repetitions. The freedom you have here is very much in the core of a wiki-ecosystem.

WikiRetracted (Content contribution)Edit

To contribute to WikiRetracted is fairly simple, and quite similar to creating a Wikipedia article.

A similar written explanation for consideration:

, and a few tutorials for consideration:

You need to initially search for the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of an article (e.g. inside WikiLetters to confirm it's non-existence. The confirmation of non-existence would provide you a result displaying the sentence:

Create the page "" on this wiki!

From this point, you are welcome to click over the title in red to create this new information.

Note: please just remember to search for a DOI including only the prefix "" which will be automatically converted to "" for the page creation. Therefore, do not include any "http://" or "https://" as a prefix to a DOI.

WikiRetracted (Structure)Edit

It is suggested a very simple structure that contains the information about a retracted article (or retraction). You may click on (Random page) at the left-menu to see a random page as an example. Alternatively, see the example below

Note: Please consider the very basic headings displayed in Figure-1. However, if you are welcome to include additional headings and sub-headings whenever needed.
