| WikiRetracted (WR) is an independent platform supported by WikiLetters. WikiRetracted is complementary to a number of other platforms supporting science. It allows platforms monitoring retractions to append any information about retracted papers in addition to researchers who wish to contribute to this wiki-ecosystem. This wiki-ecosystem ought to benefit other researchers aiming to read and maybe even use contents from a retracted article also known as retraction.
| | == Getting started == |
| | | * [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Manual:Configuration_settings Configuration settings list] |
| Following the wiki-ecosystem, here you are not required to provide your personal details, and here your submitted information becomes available online instantaneously so others can have access to all.

| | | * [https://lists.wikimedia.org/postorius/lists/mediawiki-announce.lists.wikimedia.org/ MediaWiki release mailing list] |
| Furthermore, WikiRetracted gives you the opportunity to provide a brief discussion about the the key-reasons for a retraction(e.g. a brief summary). Although WL strongly invites you to check [https://retractionwatch.com RetractionWatch] to see if such discussion is not yet available in order to avoid unnecessary repetitions. The freedom you have here is very much in the core of a wiki-ecosystem.

| You need to initially search for the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of an <span style="color:#ff0000">'''article '''</span> (e.g. '''doi.org/0123/456/789abcd''') inside WikiLetters to confirm it's non-existence. The confirmation of non-existence would provide you a result displaying the sentence:
| |
| | |
| <span style="background:#c0c0c0">Create the page "<span style="color:#ff0000">'''Doi.org/0123/456/789abcd'''</span>" on this wiki!</span>
| |
| | |
| From this point, you are welcome to click over the title in red to create this new information.
| |
| | |
| '''Note:''' please just remember to search for a DOI including only the prefix '''"doi.org/"''' which will be automatically converted to '''"Doi.org/"''' for the page creation. Therefore, do not include any '''"http://"''' or '''"https://"''' as a prefix to a DOI.
